Tilda Fairy Summery Card.

Hi Guys',

How's everyone today?  Did you enjoy the summer? I know I joke, but I do hope we get more. Been absent for a few days because I've been motor home hunting and guess what, I got one. Woohoo. Have to wait a while to pick it up, but hey, I can wait. ( not ) Think I may have to start a 'Camper' blog. That'll be a laugh.

So, down to today's card. The inspiration for this one is from the sketch  on the the Official Tilda Inspiration Blog, or T.O.M.I.C, for short. I've really taken quite a shine to Tilda, she is so sweet and the stamps are great. Got quite a few now and been stamping and colouring a'plenty, so better get some cards made with them now.

This image is Tilda Fairy. She's been coloured with promarkers, and the wings and outline have been glittered with glamour dust, for a bit of definition and bling. She's been mounted with foam onto a cream parchment spellbinders deckled rectangle die, distressed with Tim Holtz spun sugar.

The backing papers are from my docrafts cd's, mainly woodland friends. The doily on this card is a file called doilies, would you believe, from SVGcuts and was cut on my cricut, using the sure-cuts-a-lot software.

The flowers are all from my stash, hand made using MCS countryside garden and the butterfly was made in lemon parchment using the pergamano butterfly grid.  A couple of pearl hat pins, some organza pink ribbon and a 'Just for you' charm completes the card.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges :-

Tilda Hula-hoop Birthday Rocker.

Good crafternoon crafters,

Who does that sound like? Anyway, hello to you all and a special hello to my new followers. Welcome to my blog, hope you enjoy visiting and thankyou.

Today's card is a tilda rocker. I felt like doing a bit of colouring, (one day I may grow up) so I stamped Tilda out several times and used different colourways to colour her in. I never know what colour card I'm going to make until the urge takes me, so to speak. The one I chose in the end is pink and lilac.

The rocker and all the layers are made with spellbinders grand large scallop, I offset each layer this time to make it a bit different. I stamped with memento ink and used promarkers to colour the image in. I just love these pens, even more since I bought some fine tips. They make it so easy to get light and shade. Some stitching detail was added around the smallest layer and Tilda was mounted with foam to give dimension.  The backing paper is from the tulip and friends range and the sentiment from cardart. The edges of all the other layers were distressed with Tim Holtz milled lavender and I added a bit of glitter, flowers and ribbon from my stash.

I had to do a variation on the design of the this rocker, my daughter said that the one I sent her wouldn't stand up. I told her not to stand it on a shiny surface, but she said it still kept laying down.

So I cut a piece of the same white card I'd used for the main rocker base and attached it inside the card to the front and back. It worked a treat. No more Bambi on ice.

Put a crease in the middle and fold it in on itself and the card lies flat for posting. Now the only thing I have to do is decide what to do with all the other Tilda's. I suppose I could make four more different coloured rocker's. :)

Aren't they cute.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges :-

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything goes.
Passion For Promarkers - Cut it out.

Thanks for visiting, hope you like them. If you'd like to leave a comment I'll know you've been and then I can visit your blog. See you soon.

Tulip and Friends

Hi Guy's,

I'm really loving my new DVDcd roms from Docrafts. They cover just about every occasion and these two cards are made using tulip and friends.  I needed to make a special card for my best friend's BIG birthday ( half a century, OMG ) but couldn't decide which one to use. See what you think.

This first one says it all, a Big card with a Big cake for a Big birthday. I used an 8x8 card for this one with the free size decoupage. That's what I like about these latest dvd's, you can decide what size and how many levels without having to print out the whole sheet, as with some of the other cd's. They're all separate. Love all the backing papers too, really pretty and girly without being over the top, subtle. I inked around all the edges with Tim Holtz milled lavender, as is mandatory, isn't it? I think it adds that finishing touch. The flower is the Spellbinder daisy and I used the same pattern as the backing papers to make it. As you will have noticed, there is no number on this card. That's because I decided to use my other choice.

I think this one is definitely more suitable for my best bud. What other way should you spend your 50th birthday, than relaxing on a chaise longue with champagne in hand. I used pretty much the same ingredients as I did for the cake, with the addition of the 50, which was cut out in holographic card on my Cricut. Not sure what font I used, just as long as it was quite chunky I didn't really mind. The with love greetings tag is from cardart papercrafts. I love their tags and banners because you can get them in every colour for every occasion, and they're reasonable. I got to use my glitter on this one too, lovely...... Hope you like 'em.

see you soon,
