Afternoon everyone,
Really enjoyed doing today's card because, yes you guessed, it's GIRLY. As the song says, 'Thank heaven for little girls'. My mojo really does seem to get up and leave when I have to do BOY cards. Anyway, here it is. I've done an easel card today, with a bit of movement. I love kinetic cards.
The designs are from the colour fairy range from clipartfairy. She has some fab digi kits. The backing paper is also from the same kit. The mats were cut with spellbinders labels 1. The top mat is in white supersmooth with a Tim Holtz spun sugar distressed edge. It's matted onto Hunkydory holographic card. The toppers were edged with glamourdust, of course. They are fairies. The mushroom already has coloured circles on, but I thought they lended themselves to having card candy added. Some of the shapes were a bit fiddly, but I think it's very effective. Adds a bit of dimension too. Talking of dimension, I decided to have one of the fairies flying.
I mounted her onto a piece of acetate and secured it between the two mats. It adds a nice bit of movement too. I love the way the other two are peeking out from behind the mushroom. I think they must be in awe ( or terrified ) what say you?
To finish I made flourishes in both white and holographic silver, with spellbinders floral flourishes. The white one was distressed through the die, again with spun sugar. The sentiment/stopper bar is a spellbinder grommet tag, printed onto supersmooth. Some flowers, buttons and a bow and It's done. Hope you like it.
