How's it with you all? Still raining here, I think there's a big black cloud over Lincolnshire, wish it would go away. Having my hair done this afternoon though, so will feel cheered up after that. Amazing what a new hair cut can do isn't it. Anyway, enough waffle, decided to put a quick card together and pop it on my blog before going at three. HA!!! I need to set myself some lines,
'I MUST NOT FAFF'.
I did get it finished though, so miracles do happen. Anyway, here it is, see what you think.
If I can't have sun in the garden I'll have it in my craftroom. What say you? It's another rocker, but I used the Spellbinders big scalloped ovals for this one. Loving all my new spellbinder dies, ordered some more yesterday and they just arrived. Amazing. Will have to play later now. The largest layer is linen effect white card, distressed with Tim Holtz spun sugar. I used clipartfairy backing paper, printed on 220gsm supersmooth card for the second layer.
The topper is a digi-stamp from docrafts forever friends black and gold cd and it's coloured with promarkers. I could never use promarkers with digi-stamps, because no matter how long I left the ink, it still bled. I've sussed it, I give it a good blast with my heat gun, it sets it and then no bleeding. Simples. It was mounted with foam onto more white linen card and again distressed with spun sugar. I matted and layered onto some textured lemon card from Papermania. Of course all the edges were glittered.
I used my spellbinders daisy topper die and the same backing paper design to make the flower, added a button and bakers twine to the centre. Bit more glitter here. I added spellbinders floral flourishes to frame the flower, cut in both white and lemon. To finish I added a Hunkidory 'Happy Birthday' greeting, in lemon and some pink card candy. Done. So...... do I need to do my lines, or can I be excused.

ReplyDeleteLovely card. I've never used my stamps of Forever Friends as not sure what Promarkers to use. Which colours have you used ?
ReplyDeleteHi, I used mostly the skin tone collection. I do most of my colouring with these. Hope that helps. This is a digistamp by the way. Thank you for coming by my blog and for leaving a comment. I'd love to see you again.
